Weather and Climate

Algarve is known for its pleasant climate and weather, and probably that is one of the major reasons why tourists rush to this beautiful region. Summer days in Algarve are long with at least 12 hours of sun each day, with no rainfall at all. The peak summer months are July and August, with temperatures as high as 30°C, which are made bearable and comfortable by the sea breeze.

The temperatures are very pleasant during spring and fall, with an average range of 17°C to 19°C. The winters bring only 6 hours of sunshine a day, with December and January being the peak months of the winter season, with a pleasant lower extreme temperature of 15°C. Algarve has a total of 50 days of rainfall from the months of November to March.

Holidays in Algarve can be best in the warmer summer months when everyone is in the mood to party, but the winter months are still a great time to go!
